About these terms

This website is run by Citadel Agency Pty Ltd (ABN 72 673 070 847), trading as Citadel Agency, a licensed buyers agency in Victoria (estate agent licence 092247L). These terms apply when you use citadelagency.com.au, including our guides, calculators, videos, online shop and members area. By using the site, you agree to them.

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

General information, not advice

Everything on this site, including guides, videos, market updates, suburb information and case studies, is general information. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs.

Citadel Agency is a licensed estate agent. We do not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence or an Australian Credit Licence, and we do not give financial product, tax, credit or legal advice. Before you make a decision, get advice from a licensed financial adviser, accountant, mortgage broker or lawyer who knows your situation.

Superannuation and SMSFs

Our SMSF content explains how buying property through a self-managed super fund works. We do not advise you whether to set up an SMSF, move your super, or use your super to buy property. That is financial advice, and you should get it from a licensed financial adviser.

Calculators and tools

Our calculators and tools give estimates based on the figures you enter and the assumptions shown with each tool. They are a starting point for a conversation, not a recommendation, a valuation or a credit assessment.

Results can change with interest rates, tax rules, fees, rents and property values. Check figures with your broker, accountant or the relevant government office before relying on them. Stamp duty estimates are based on published state rates and may not include every concession or surcharge.

Market information, forecasts and results

Market commentary reflects our view, based on the information available when it was published. Property values and rents can fall as well as rise, and past growth does not guarantee future growth.

Purchase results and case studies show real outcomes for our clients. Each client's situation is different, and your results may differ. Where we quote figures such as growth or yield, we explain where they come from.

Reviews and testimonials

Reviews on our site are from real clients. The Google reviews shown are displayed through a third-party tool, with the overall rating and number of reviews. We do not edit reviews except to remove personal details, and we do not pay for reviews.

Our services are under a separate agreement

Using this website, booking a call or sending an enquiry does not make you a client. When we act for you, our services, fees and responsibilities are set out in a written agreement that you sign before we start. If that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement applies.

Online shop

Prices in our shop are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If something you buy has a problem, contact us and we will help, including with a refund or replacement where the law provides for it.

Members area

If you have a login, keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Member content is for your own use and must not be shared or resold. We may suspend an account that is misused.

Using our website

Please do not:

• copy, scrape or harvest content or data from the site with automated tools
• try to interfere with the site, its security or other users
• submit false information, spam or anything unlawful through our forms
• use our content, name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you

Our content

The text, graphics, videos, data, calculators and design of this site belong to Citadel Agency or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use and share links to them. Please ask us before copying, republishing or using our content commercially. Other brand names and logos belong to their owners.

Other websites and services

Our site links to and embeds other services, such as YouTube, Vimeo, Google, Calendly, Stripe and PayPal, and government websites. They have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Limits on our responsibility

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error free, current or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, general information or calculator results on this site.

Where the law does not allow us to exclude liability but allows us to limit it, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the law or our services change. The current version is always on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
