Terms & Conditions – $30,000 Bathroom Renovation Giveaway

1. Promoters
This giveaway is run by Citadel Agency Pty Ltd (ABN: [72 673 070 847]) and BDA Homes Pty Ltd (ABN: [56 639 610 432]) (“the Promoters”).

2. Eligibility
To be eligible:

  • Entrants must be 18 years or older

  • Must be the registered title owner of the property entered

  • Must follow both @citadelagency and @bdahomes on Instagram

  • Must have liked the official giveaway post and tagged at least one Instagram user

Excluded Entries
The following will result in disqualification:

  • Properties listed for sale, under contract, or soon-to-be sold

  • Properties tenanted under a residential lease

  • Entrants who have previously been banned, reported, or blocked by either brand

  • Entrants engaging in spam-tagging or bot-like activity

3. Entry Period
Entries open on 25th of June 2025 and close at 11:59 PM on closing date – 30 days from start – 25th of July 2025.. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.

4. Prize Details

  • One (1) prize winner will receive a full bathroom renovation valued up to $30,000 AUD, delivered by BDA Homes

  • Includes: planning, demolition, waterproofing, plumbing, electrical, tiling, and fixture installation

  • Fixtures sourced from Better Bathware Coburg or a supplier of equivalent standard

  • Citadel Agency will deliver a formal post-renovation market appraisal (not a sworn valuation)

Prize Limitations

  • Only one existing bathroom may be renovated under the prize

  • Structural alterations (e.g., moving walls, modifying load-bearing frames) are excluded unless agreed in writing and within budget

  • Any additional works outside the original scope will be quoted separately and charged to the winner

5. Winner Obligations

  • Must provide safe, legal, and uninterrupted access to the property during the agreed renovation period

  • Must not have unresolved council orders, pending building disputes, or illegal plumbing or electrical work onsite

  • Must agree to sign a standard domestic building contract with BDA Homes before works commence

  • Must complete a Pre-Start Inspection and Scope Sign-Off before commencement

  • Must provide evidence of ownership and identity within 7 days of being contacted

6. Non-Compliance & Cancellation Clause

  • The Promoters reserve the right to withdraw the prize if the winner:

    • Fails to comply with reasonable instructions

    • Delays works unreasonably (more than 45 days)

    • Engages in abusive, threatening, or defamatory behaviour

    • Is found to have entered under false pretences

  • If the renovation cannot be completed due to structural defects, asbestos, or legal encumbrances, the Promoters may withdraw or adjust the prize accordingly

7. Media Consent
By entering, the winner agrees to:

  • Be filmed/photographed throughout the process (before, during, after)

  • Allow Citadel Agency & BDA Homes to use content across social media, websites, and marketing platforms

  • Be named and tagged publicly as the giveaway winner

  • Sign a media release prior to renovation commencing

8. General Limitations of Liability

  • The Promoters are not liable for:

    • Delays due to trade availability, supply chain issues, or force majeure (including weather, illness, or government restrictions)

    • Property damage caused by pre-existing issues

    • Any property devaluation or misinterpretation of the appraisal outcome

    • Personal injury, loss of income, or consequential loss arising from use of the prize

9. Property Condition Clauses

  • A site inspection will be conducted before confirming the prize

  • The Promoters may cancel the prize if:

    • The bathroom is deemed unsafe or structurally unsound

    • There is presence of asbestos or hazardous materials not disclosed beforehand

    • Council approvals are required but not achievable within a reasonable time

10. Transfer & Substitution

  • The prize cannot be transferred, substituted, gifted, or redeemed for cash

  • If the winner chooses not to proceed, a new winner will be drawn

  • No substitutions or partial value redemptions will be allowed

11. Disqualification, Disputes & Defamation Clause

  • Any entrant or winner found publicly defaming or misrepresenting the Promoters on social media, review platforms, or other public forums may be disqualified and/or legally pursued for damages

  • The Promoters reserve the right to withhold or revoke the prize where disputes, dishonesty, or reputational harm is evident

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) or relevant Victorian courts.

13. Privacy
All personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Details will not be sold or shared without consent, except where required by law.

14. Location Eligibility – Radius Clause
This giveaway is only open to homeowners with a property located within a 35km radius of Newport, VIC.
Properties outside this boundary are not eligible, even if other entry requirements are met. A site check will be conducted to confirm location eligibility prior to awarding the prize.
